Contrary to my original assumption, upper decks are not always restricted to the most upper class on your flight. Where there is First Class downstairs it will be a small set of Business seats that typically occupy upstairs on a long-haul BA aircraft. Imagine the excitement when you see a number in the 60s on your boarding pass – that means you’re heading up those stairs. It is wonderful up there; spacious, quiet, calm – the perfect working environment.
Heel recommendation – Nobody cares (unless you’re in First). Take some slippers, the ones you get free in hotels do the trick perfectly. After a few flights’ wearing or if you’re luggage is tight on the return you can get rid of them.
