Grouper alone – Vancouver

IMG_0247

I’ve long gotten over eating out alone. Of course I enjoy others company, but when you’re forced to for years travelling on business you just have to get on with it or remain couped up in hotel rooms on room service (never!). I find it daunting for 5 minutes then refreshing, exciting and fascinating. There is no way better to discover a new place than taste the food and it can be the most wonderful part of a trip. You also get to watch the world revolve around you which I greatly enjoy. A colleague opened my eyes to the grouper fish and as I seek fish on menus as a healthy option was elated to find this wonderful dish in Yaletown Vancouver. Fairly rich in taste but also melt-in-the-mouth, I am desperate to return to this city.
